2024 – 2025
This joint project with POPTICUM collective inquires into transdisciplinary forms of speculative design, parametric planning, and textile manufacturing. Throughout a series of teaching formats between textile design and architecture, it develops an adaptive membrane for the experimental demonstrator Bauhütte. A single pneumatic structure with minimal technical backend functions as structural high point for a self-manufactured textile, forming an illuminated sun that roofs the new open-air experimental workshop area of SPENI. Motives like circular structural elements and the use of an existing 1:1 clay brick testing wall as counter bearing contribute to the discourse on sustainable modes and practices of care and Weiterbauen in architectural culture.
